Just playing01.31.13

So we have traded our surfboards for sleds! Warm water to frozen water.  Its has been so much fun seeing Le’i excitement for snow.  The first day it snowed which is sometime in December he woke up screaming its Christmas! HAHA  Sweet local boy!  He is so much fun these days.  I swear that kids has me laughing more then anyone else.  He has such a joy for life and no fear.  He is speaking Swedish more and more everyday.  He speaks better then me….sucks to be me.

Just a quick little shoot of him.  As you can see by the first image, I was here to play not be a photographer.

This couple could not be more beautiful! Their love was so genuine and pure. The joy that came through the bride Ashely was so contagious. I was laughing, crying and just feeling the passion of two coming together as one.  

As I photograph weddings I am always so inspired, I truly believe when you love and recieve love you are really living.    That is just one of the many reasons I become a photographer …. love is truly magical. LOVE is a BIG DEAL.

So for you that are not married or if you  have been married for years.  Love does not need a pretty dress, or a fancy party…. all it needs is action.  So go show love!! You create the moments!

Okay who doesn’t love Pinterest?  It is like a girls dream for inspiration, cooking, DIY, wedding planning and for me wishing I could redo my wedding.  JK :) Well I am here to tell you all about this new site called Cloud Parade. Its amazing, you can pin(put them in clouds) things you love, share it with other, plus if you really like it you can buy it!  What more could you ask for? I remember thinking I wished pinterest was around when I got married, now I wish I had Cloud Parade.  Watch the video and see for yourself how amazing this is.   You can thank me later.

Happy New Year01.17.13

Well its been a very long while since I have been here on the blog. Needless to say there has been a lot of changes. We have moved to Sweden. Yes, I still can’t believe it. This is the hubby’s homeland. It has been such a journey. I am not going to say it has been easy, but totally worth it. I have had my tears, more then I would like to say but I really like it here. God is doing things in our lives and I love that.
Hawaii will always be my home, and yes I am still taking weddings in Hawaii. My parents and sister still live there….thank God! I never understood the way people would react when they would see images of the ocean… OH MY GOSH I totally understand. The ocean calls me… I swear.

This is my first real winter….yes I have never snowboarded, skied, sledded, etc. I am telling ya, I am a Hawaii girl through and through. I traded my slippers for winter boots. Who does that? It has been so much fun, and freezing at the same time. Lele is in love with the snow.

I am excited to say I will now be taking weddings here in Sweden and in Europe as well as Hawaii. There are some exciting things happening here. You will all just have to wait and see.

Better late then never Happy 2013!!

Local Boys and a puppy03.31.12

Really, how cute are they? Ridiculous if you ask me. Local boys all the way! Such boys. Showing off their muscles, picking their noses and melting our hearts. Please stop growing! I love this age. They understand  a lot, adventure is at every door. They are dramatic (yes, telling them to get out of the ocean is the meanest thing I can do) but most of all just full of life. I was helping Jim with some work and these three were being hilarious. I had to stop and just photograph them. Opps. What can I say boys are the best! How sweet is that puppy… I know.

A baby and a bow tie03.30.12

How cute is this family? It is my sister,her husband and her sweet little boy. I can not get enough of that sweet baby. He is the sweetest thing ever. They just moved back from South Africa. Its so nice to finally be able call her on my cell phone when ever I want. Sisters are seriously the best, nothing like a sister. You have best friends for life!

P.S. None of these are posed…he actually didn’t want to do anything I wanted him to do. Annoying while shooting…. so glad he didn’t listen to me. This seriously was a 10 min shoot. I was actually shooting a client, we were finished, I was her ride. She was waiting I snapped away. So glad I did. Sometimes your favorite images are the ones you never plan for.
