The husband and I have been trying to make a point to do something after 5, even if its just taking a walk.  We get so busy with coming home from work, and then doing nothing.  So here is one  adventure of after 5 last week.  It always seems like so much work, but every time we do something we are so glad we did it. This is my youngest sister and her boyfriend.  They were going out for Zach’s birthday to Michels which is a FABULOUS resturant here in Hawaii.  The view at sunset knocks your socks off. Its also a great place for small weddings.  My sister asked if I would take a couple of pictures before they headed of to dinner.  These two are one of the coolest kids I know.  They are always having fun!

A couple months ago I was over in Maui and was able to help Anna Kim with a couple of weddings.  Anna, is so much fun!  If you are with Anna you are having a blast.  I love watching other photographers work, I love to see how they connect with couple, how they handle the stress, how they see a room and most of all they make their passion come alive. Anna does all and with elegance and style.  Anna thank you for letting me shoot with you.

Here is the second day from Lara Jade.

Annie  is one hot mama!   Here she is at 6 months. For expecting mothers I think this is the perfect time to take maternity pictures. You are showing but you have not gained all the weight.

Annie is a dear friend, I am so blessed to have her and her husband and baby Bo in our families life.  We can not wait to meet her new baby girl.  We hope to meet her soon.  These were taken in Oregon at her husbands grandmothers house.  Doesn’t she have a fun style, I love it!  They moved to New Jersey and we can not wait to visit them. Hopefully sooner then later. 

So I am going to try to post my week of images that I take with my Iphone on the blog.  Haha that means its going to be of Le’i and the dog mostly. I love taking Iphone photos. How about you? Gosh how do I start this post.  I have so much I could say about this workshop!  A.The teacher was beautiful. B.It was two whole days with different locations/models.  C.Great friends.  D.Best of all she speaks with an English accent.  Yes, I am listening teacher. Okay really this lady is amazing and so creative.  I learned so much from her.  Mainly to not give up and to keep shooting, to think out of the box, take risks and most importantly to have fun.  We did studio lighting, natural lighting, plus photoshop tips.  She is so open to sharing her secrets and helping you get the most out of her workshop.  She sits down and looks over your portfolio. Yes, she takes the time to look at your stuff and give you tips!  I can not say enough about this workshop and would recommend it to anyone.  You might ask why I took this workshop, well because I believe one must continue to learn, to be pushed out of your norm.  Plus her work is breath taking. Check it out here.  You can not not be inspired after seeing her work.

This is the first post, and its all film (she was not teaching on film).  The second post will be all be digital.  The more I shoot film the more I fall in love with it. I still have so so so much to learn. Thats what is all about, right?

This is my beautiful sister Carla.  This is us playing in my mothers bedroom playing with her pearls.  Nothing like playing in moms room/jewelry, right?  We did what sisters do best, have F U N!   There is nothing like sisters.  I am lucky I have three, three best friends that is.
